Each 1 litre PET bottle contains 33% more wine than a standard 75cl bottle and yet only weighs 50 grams which takes much less energy to produce and transport than ordinary glass. PET is one of the most recyclable materials on Earth. In its clear form, it can easily be turned into anything from clothes to carpets to car parts. Or green coloured PET can be recycled into another bottle for Green Root wine.
