Vintage 2004 was quite unusual for Slovenian Istria with the summer drought failing and raining heavier than usual. The weather was far from ideal for the maturing of the red wines and the 2004 is widely considered as a poor vintage year. But Grande Cuvée Certeze 2004 proves, that even in poor vintage years, with effort and sacrifice, as well as drastic reduction of quantity, a great wine can be produced.
Recommended serving is at room temperature (18 - 20°C). This wine is unfiltered so requires decanting.
